Research and Development
The Research and Development activities at ThyssenKrupp Electrical Steel are strictly focused on the demand of our customers. The main tasks of our R & D are:
Improvement of magnetic, mechanical and technological properties of existing products and development of new grades of electrical steel by:
- Optimization of chemical composition
- Optimization of processing steps
- Analysis of feasibility and application of new technologies for the production process of electrical steel
Co-operation with customers in developing of optimal solutions for the electromagnetic systems
- Development of tailor made grades for special application fields
- Right choice and best use of electrical steel products
- Assistance regarding the design and manufacturing of electromagnetic components
Development of new solutions for the improvement of the product quality and production process by:
- Integrated solutions for the equipment and processes
- Merging of production steps
Increase of the intellectual properties of the company
- Issuing of patents publications and presentations
- Collaboration with standardization committees
Supporting of the production plants of TKES in various questions concerning the improvement of the quality of our product.
